Koutalidis Law Firm is advising Macquarie Group on the acquisition of a 49% ownership interest in the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO). Following an international public tender process launched by PPC S.A., Macquarie was declared the preferred bidder with an offer, valuing 49% of HEDNO’s enterprise value at € 2.116 bn., making this landmark transaction one of the largest privatizations to have ever taken place in Greece. Completion of the transaction will occur upon satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
