Koutalidis Law Firm advised United Group B.V. in its acquisition of WIND Hellas, one of Greece’s three mobile operators with a total of 4.2 million users and revenues in excess of EUR 500 million annually. The deal will enable United Group B.V. to combine WIND Hellas with its existing Greek pay-TV provider Nova to create a strong converged operator that will be the number two player in both broadband internet and television services in Greece.
Wind has a total of 4.2 million users and offers mobile, fixed, internet, and television services. Wind-Hellas generates revenues in excess of €500 million annually.
The transaction will enable United Group to combine Wind with its existing Greek pay-TV provider Nova to create a strong converged operator that will be the number two player in both broadband internet and television services.
Closing of the transaction is expected in 2022 subject to obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.
