Our firm is looking for an Associate Lawyer specialized in Banking and Finance, who will be working on a broad range of projects, ranging from corporate, structured and project finance, to ECM and DCM and a variety of regulatory questions.

The Role

As an Associate Lawyer in our Banking & Finance department, you will become a member of our Banking and Finance team, led by Nikos Koritsas and co-managed by Dr. Ioannis Kaptanis and Effie Papoutsi, and work on a wide range of tasks relating to financial law. This includes:

• Corporate finance
• LBOs
• Structured finance
• Derivatives
• Project Finance
• ECM/DCM
• Financial services regulation
• Debt restructuring

You will be expected to perform thorough legal analyses, draft legal memorandums, assist in license application files, and advise clients on a variety of regulatory questions, all while considering the commercial needs of our clients.

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience in Banking & Finance for the Junior Associate position & 3-5 years’ experience for the Associate position, preferably in a top-tier Greek or leading international firm.
• Qualified lawyer with relevant legal qualifications.
• Strong team player, proactive and able to demonstrate initiative.
• An individual with a strong client service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong technical, drafting, and commercial skills.
• A commitment to high work standards and strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, communication, and research skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• University degree in Law.
• Postgraduate degree (LLM or equivalent), in the area of Finance Law.
• Admission to bar in Greece.
• Excellent command of the English language (knowledge of a second foreign language is an advantage).
• Three (3) to five (5) years of proven legal experience.
• Exceptional computer skills (word, excel, power point).
